Karson Gibbs joins Club Atletico to add goals

Karson Gibbs was a decorated high school athlete prior to Saint Louis University.

Freshman Year Highlights:

  • Appeared in 13 matches, including a starting role against Loyola Chicago.
  • Played a season-high 54 minutes and contributed to SLU's A-10 regular season and tournament titles.

Previous Accolades:

  • Competed with and started with St. Louis CITY 2 in MLS Next Pro league. 
  • Doubled as a 2x Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year and 2x United Soccer Coaches All-American.
  • Earned numerous individual awards, including All-Metro Player of the Year, Class 3 Offensive Player of the Year, and 4x first-team All-Conference.
  • Boasted an impressive record with 3x first-team All-Missouri selections, 5x Missouri State Cup Championships, and 3x High School State Championships.
  • Shattered scoring records at Fort Zumwalt, setting the single-season mark with 49 goals and becoming the all-time leading scorer with 85 goals.

Karson joins SIUE from across the river this fall and will bring excitement to SIUE attack with his quickness and technical ability! 
Karson was a part of the inaugural CITY2 team who won the MLSNext Pro Western Conference playing many of their games at Ralph Korte Stadium!
